iPhone 3.0 Update: Download Problems (How To Fix It)
iPhone and iPod Touch owners this is for you, finally you guys have the chance to download and install the new iPhone 3.0 OS software, which provides an array of features like Cut, Copy & Paste, Landscape Keyboard, MMS, Spotlight Search, Voice Memos, Improved Calendar, Enhanced Stocks App, Buy Movies, TV Shows, and Audiobooks.

The problems people are experiencing is “We could not complete your iTunes Store request” afterward “Slide for Emergencies”, when they near the end of iPhone 3.0 OS installation process. It’s because there are too many download requests happening at the same time iPhone activation server is temporarily unavailable.
A few options Apple Team have seen work so far: (Mashable)
- Click on iTunes Store, then back to your phone in iTunes: This was how at least I resolved my issue. It essentially repeats the iTunes store request.
- Keep clicking O.K. on the popup error: We’ve heard that this works, too.
- Ejecting and plugging back in: Both Joe Tech and Business Insider ejected their iPhones and plugged them back in without losing data. We don’t suggest this option unless absolutely necessary (simply waiting until later would be the more prudent option).
- Patience: As the demand decreases, the servers will recover and there will be less error messages.
Hope this post can help to those iPhone owner.

1. Connect the iPhone and your Mac/PC
2. Shut down iTunes
3. Hold Power/Sleep until the red slider shows up, slide to shut the iPhone down. If this aint work hold Power/Sleep and Home until the iPhone shuts down.
3. Hold Start/Sleep and Home for 10 seconds (I count like 100, 200, 300, ..)
4. Let go of Start/Sleep but keep holding Home until…
5. iTunes starts up and finds an iPhone in restore/recovery mode. The iPhone screen is black.
6. Disconnect Mac and iPhone.
7 On the iPhone hold Start/Sleep and Home until the Apple logo shows up. This may take up to 30-60 seconds. Once the Apple logo shows up, let go of start/sleep and Home – keep your fingers crossed that the iPhone will boot.
